PEGRight: storyboards and an AngularJS UI for an identity risk product

PEGRight needed a user interface and user experience for a new identity risk product. We designed storyboards and built a selected set of screens in AngularJS.

  • AngularJS
  • HTML5
  • REST
  • JSON
  • Bitbucket
  • Git

The challenge

  • The product had six system-level use cases, from the system dashboard to model training and data analytics.
  • Three user roles had to be served: system administrator, system operator and data analyst.
  • The design had to follow PEGRight's style guide and branding.

What it needed

  • Each screen needed a defined set of REST endpoints and JSON objects.
  • Risk data, such as an identity profile with a risk summary score and risk entries, had to be shown clearly on several screens.

What we did

UX storyboards

We reviewed the six use cases and produced storyboards, including the data-exchange requirements for back-end services.

Screen service mappings

We mapped each screen, such as Dashboard, Risk Detail, Explore Data and Model Training, to REST endpoints and JSON objects.

AngularJS implementation

We built a selected set of storyboards in HTML5 and AngularJS, connected to back-end REST services.

Handover

We joined PEGRight's daily Scrum and gave a PEGRight developer a code walkthrough.

The result

  • PEGRight received a document that maps each screen to REST endpoints and JSON objects.
  • PEGRight pulled the AngularJS UI code from our git server.
  • A PEGRight developer received a walkthrough of the code.
